La Mar Cocina Peruana, the Pacific Northwest’s most anticipated authentic Peruvian restaurant, is set to open its doors in downtown Bellevue, WA on October 14, 2024. Reservations are now live for this new dining experience created by acclaimed Peruvian chef Gastón Acurio.

La Mar Bellevue’s menu showcases classic Peruvian dishes like cebiches—citrus-marinated raw fish, and tiraditos—thinly sliced seafood, alongside causas, potato-based creations, and anticuchos, skewers of marinated meat inspired by Peruvian street food. Fresh seafood is a focal point, with ingredients sourced locally to highlight authentic Peruvian flavors.

Executive Chef Kaoru Chang, a third-generation Nikkei (Peruvian of Japanese heritage), is excited to share the diverse influences of Peruvian cuisine, shaped by Incan, Spanish, Chinese, and Japanese traditions. The opening menu features highlights such as the Cebiche Nikkei with ahi tuna, Japanese cucumber, and tamarind leche de tigre, and the Lomo Saltado, a wok stir-fried beef tenderloin dish with a flavorful mix of tomatoes, red onions, and jalapeños.

The drink menu will spotlight pisco, the signature spirit of Peru, with an array of Pisco Sours, including the unique Rainier Sour, crafted specifically for La Mar Bellevue using local Douglas Fir Liqueur. The beverage selection will also feature local beer and wine, along with an extensive list of craft cocktails.

Located at 10508 Main Street, La Mar will offer lunch, dinner, and lounge service. Lunch will be served Thursday to Sunday, with dinner available nightly. The restaurant also plans to introduce brunch and host a variety of events in the future.
