There’s a reason there are thousands of sad summer playlists on the internet — sometimes those precious few months don’t live up to the hype. In fact, 40% of Canadians already feel like their summer has fallen short of their expectations.

Sometimes, #ChipHappens and plans fall short — wouldn’t it be nice if there was insurance for that? Well, now there is!
Introducing Que Pasa’s Summer Bummer Insurance. Now until September 3, Canadians can make a “claim” for a chance to win 1 of 36 prizes, including up to $5,000 CAD to help recover a summer moment that didn’t go as planned.
To enter Que Pasa’s Summer Bummer Insurance contest, visit QuePasaSummerBummer.ca until September 3rd to submit your “claim” by sharing a summer bummer you’ve experienced.
What qualifies you for a “claim”? Well, let’s take some inspo from some unlucky folks:
- 37% of Canadians have gotten a sunburn that left a funky tan line (been there!)
- Half of Canadians have had to go 40 km/h on the highway due to traffic
- Just over one-third (34%) of Canadians have stayed indoors while on vacation because there were too many bugs outside (somewhat extreme, but ok)
- Just over one-third (34%)of Canadians have cancelled summer plans because it was too hot outside
With each “claim” submitted, Que Pasa will donate $10 to its program partner the Canadian
Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS), up to $50,000, to support conservation efforts and
raise awareness about the importance of protecting Canada’s natural landscapes.
