Alice + Kate, a charming boutique bakery, has opened at 572 E. Castle Pines Parkway, Suite A5, Castle Pines, Colorado. Featuring an assortment of small-batched, hand-made caramels, chocolates and macarons, as well as a curated selection of gifts, the bakery will stand as a one-stop-shop for gift-giving, party-planning and personal indulgence.
Alice + Kate is owned by Gretchen Harrison and that reflects her deep passion for baking, family and community. Having called Castle Pines home for more than 20 years, Harrison has nurtured her dreams of opening a bakery in the neighborhood where she raised her children. As an empty nester, the stars have finally aligned with Alice + Kate, which will bring hand-made treats to the residents of Castle Pines. It is set to be a culmination of Harrison’s dedication to her craft, love for her community and her commitment to empowering women in Colorado. The majority of the vendors she partners with are women-owned local businesses.
Harrison will be creating caramels, chocolates, macarons and marshmallows in a variety of flavors including seasonal features. The bakery’s caramel collection features an array of flavors, such as maple praline pecan, bananas foster and chocolate pomegranate. Artisanal macarons span a spectrum of tastes, from the refined elegance of lavender lemon, Champagne and Earl Grey honey to playful concoctions like Captain Crunch, Fruity Pebbles and maple bacon. Additionally, handcrafted chocolates will also present a unique portfolio of flavors, like white chocolate passion fruit caramel, milk chocolate toasted coconut and espresso ganache. Harrison has carefully curated her ingredients to prioritize local, unique, woman-owned and small businesses with exceptional products. For example, the eggs she uses are sourced from Black Sheep Pastures, a family-operated farm in Fountain, Colorado. All of Alice + Kate’s vanilla comes from a local company called The Sweetest Bean, owned by two women who source their product from a Ugandan village they lived in for seven years.
Guests will have the option to craft boxes of treats, selecting flavors that resonate with them, or choose from Harrison’s curated selection of premade or seasonal boxes. Harrison envisions her boutique bakery as a haven not only for indulgent confections but also as the ultimate destination for event planning and thoughtful gift-giving. The Alice + Kate storefront will showcase a diverse range of products sourced from locally-owned businesses across Colorado, including Bjorn Honey, Huckleberry Coffee, Tea with Tae, My Mind’s Eye and Colorado Mountain Jams.
The bakery is open Tuesday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Monday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
