Brazil’s number one açai brand OAKBERRY is excited to announce they are continuing their Canadian expansion with a new Downtown Winnipeg location.
Located at 201 Portage Avenue, this will be OAKBERRY’s first location in Manitoba, after successfully launching in Ontario, British Columbia, and Alberta. In celebration of the new location at 201 Portage, OAKBERRY will be giving the first 50 guests a free signature açai bowl on opening day on January 30 as of 12 PM.
Carter Friesen, CEO of Snowbank Brands, the Master Franchisee for OAKBERRY in Western Canada, first tasted OAKBERRY açai while visiting Australia and set his sights on bringing the brand to Canada, and more specifically, his hometown of Winnipeg. “Since day one, it’s always been our goal to bring OAKBERRY to Winnipeg,” said Friesen. “We are thrilled to be bringing the taste of Brazilian açai to the city we call home.”
OAKBERRY offers açai lovers an authentic experience with fresh bowls and smoothies, available in small, medium, and large sizing. OAKBERRY bowls will be priced from $11.49 to $17.99 and will include unlimited toppings layered between delicious açai, while smoothies will include 3 toppings, ranging from $9.99 to $15.99. Customers can customise their bowls or smoothies to their preferences and choose from fresh toppings like fresh fruit like bananas, strawberries, and blueberries, as well as chia pudding, cacao nibs, and granola.
At just over 350 square feet, OAKBERRY’s first Winnipeg location will open at 201 Portage Avenue on January 30 at 12 PM, and will then be open on weekdays from 8AM till 6PM moving forward. Located in the building’s remodelled lower concourse level at iconic Portage and Main, the new store will have direct access to Winnipeg Square and the 201 Portage Parkade. The store’s kiosk design will include OAKBERRY’s signature colours of purple and warm wood. Delivery will be available through all major platforms for those looking to enjoy açai in the comfort of their own homes.
