A special treat baked with love and compassion goes a long way, especially for families with sick children who need a little extra support. That’s why, for over 40 years, families and volunteers have baked cookies in Ronald McDonald Houses across Canada to make the Houses feel more like home with the smell of fresh baked cookies.

Inspired by this tradition, the RMHC Cookie was born.
While it started as a compassionate volunteer activity, the RMHC Cookie now sold at McDonald’s Canada has continued to positively impact RMHC families as a portion of proceeds goes right back to the families it was created to support.
This National Cookie Day (December 4), RMHC is celebrating the Cookie’s legacy of positive impact on over 26,000 families across Canada in an average year.
Ways to support RMHC through Cookies
Through an exclusive offer on the McDonald’s app, Canadians can spread the positivity with loved ones by buying one RMHC Cookie and getting a second one free, all while supporting families with sick children. Plus, when ordering an RMHC Cookie through DoorDash between Dec. 1-4, DoorDash will donate $1 to RMHC Canada – up to $10,000.
Proceeds from RMHC Cookies on National Cookie Day and every day help families stay close while their child receives care at a nearby hospital. All year round, Canadians can donate to make a positive impact on families with sick children from their community or set up a monthly donation any time at https://www.rmhccanada.ca/donate.
