Detroit Shipping Company and Lansing Shuffle will be hosting their annual Full Plates, Full Hearts event in collaboration with The Michigan Restaurant & Lodging Association (MRLA), Detroit Restaurant & Lodging Association (DRLA) – on Monday, November 20th to support individuals and families in need. The two-part culinary event, which includes a walk-up opportunity and special delivery to select area nonprofits, will be providing over 1000 hot meals to our local communities.
The first part of Full Plates, Full Hearts is a walk-up event that begins at 11 a.m. at the entrance of Detroit Shipping Company located at 474 Peterboro St. in Detroit as well as Lansing Shuffle located at 325 Riverfront Dr, Lansing, MI 48912. Thanksgiving meals, boxed in individual portions, will be distributed one per person on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. The boxed meals will include a Herbes de Provence Roasted Chicken Thigh Sandwich, Mashed Sweet Potatoes, Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Balsamic Glaze, Cranberry Chutney, and Apple Crisp. There will also be sundries packs with items like toothpaste, shaving cream, and gloves or mittens while supplies last.
The second part of the event is a special delivery of individually-boxed meals to local nonprofit organizations.
