DAVIDsTEA is adding a new blend to its shelves this spring with Manoomin Apple Pie, a flavourful herbal tea created in collaboration with Indigenous-owned Tea Horse. This small-batch release celebrates tradition, storytelling, and community through a comforting blend inspired by a cherished family apple pie recipe.

Manoomin—wild rice in Ojibwe—brings depth to this caffeine-free blend, paired with warm cinnamon, apple, date powder, clove, nutmeg and natural Fuji apple flavouring. Priced at $12.98 for 50g or $19.00 in its limited-edition format, the blend is produced entirely in Canada.
This release follows Manoomin Maple, a black tea featuring roasted wild rice, maple sugar, cranberry, blueberry, coconut, and vanilla notes. Together, the two blends form a capsule collection rooted in culture and connection, with 10% of all proceeds going to the Native Women’s Association of Canada.
Visual artist Emily Kewageshig, an Anishinaabe woodland artist from Saugeen First Nation No. 29, returns to illustrate the collection. Her work—already featured on Manoomin Maple—is now part of the new packaging and DAVIDsTEA’s ceramic Nordic Mug ($35), which includes a stainless steel infuser and a lid that doubles as a saucer.
This partnership between DAVIDsTEA and Tea Horse reflects a growing effort to spotlight Indigenous voices through meaningful, ongoing collaboration. Each sip of Manoomin Apple Pie is a tribute to heritage and shared stories, inviting tea lovers to connect more deeply with the land and the people behind the blend.
