New England Lobster Market & Eatery in Burlingame CA [Review]

New England Lobster Market & Eatery is a MICHELIN recommended spot in South San Francisco offering live, cooked, and frozen seafood. They have live lobsters flown in daily and served in almost all of their dishes.

Located within a spacious, industrial warehouse setting, New England Lobster Market features a maritime ambiance.

They are a live seafood market with tanks brimming with live seafood including lobsters, crabs, oysters and clams.

Menu

On their menu are Lobster Rolls; Lobster Platters; Shrimp; Lobster Corn Chowder; Crab Sandwiches; Oysters; Seafood Salad and more. They also serve beer, cocktails, wine and so forth.

What We Tried

You can place order your order at the counter or directly at your table table via QR code. The food is served to you in a very reasonable time. I also thought the staff were efficient at clearing and cleaning up tables.

2 – 2.5 lb fresh cooked lobster served with housemade chips; coleslaw; bread & butter

Sampler Plate $29.95

Lobster Corn Chowder made with a 3 – 5 oz Lobster Tail; 1/2 of Peel and Eat Shrimp; House made Potato Chips

Crab Nachos $22.95

Lemonade $3.95

I thought the lobster plate was a great item to try on a first visit. The sampler plate is also good where you can try a few different items without having to do too much work since the lobster tail is convenient.

Lobster meat was tender, fresh and at a good temperature. The Lobster Corn Chowder was flavourful.

The Crab Nachos were salty and spicy and not something I would reorder again.

They have seating indoors and outdoors and I enjoyed the relaxed, casual setting while enjoying good quality food.

New England Lobster Market & Eatery is located near San Francisco Airport (SFO) so if you have a long layer and are staying nearby, they would definitely make a great spot to check out.

All in all, a good experience and I would recommend trying them out!
