We had the chance to try out Kitchen Table Restaurants new burger concept Monzo Burger located at Vancouver House.

First and foremost, this is a “higher quality” burger joint and not your typical fast-food type of place.

Their burger patties are higher quality being a custom blend of 7 whole muscle cuts from Canadian beef and are ground in-house.

These patties are fresh not previously frozen and cooked to order on a high-temperature griddle.

If you are looking for a place that serves cheap processed patties (which were likely previously frozen) and at a lower price, Monzo is not for you.
Because of the higher quality food, you’ll find some higher prices compared to “cheap” burger spots.
Monzo is place where you can appreciate a delicious, quality fresh smash burger that is thin, juicy, tender, caramelized and seasoned with a great beef flavour.
The menu features more classic burger options to more gourmet options like The Wrangler (with house BBQ sauce, swiss cheese and spicy pickled jalapenos) and Chicken Milano (with house made fried chicken cutlet sandwich). There is even a vegetarian option called Big Legume (featuring a house made veggie patty).

They also offer beer, wine, cocktails, sodas, milkshakes and floats. For dessert options, there is soft serve, hand pies and sundaes.

Monzo also offers guests an aesthetic and lively environment to dine in. In fact, the interior takes its cue from classic American fast food culture, with touches of art, music and period-correct fashion that nod to the Paninaro movement of 1980s Milan.
We tried the Monzo Classic Hamburger; Monzo Classic Hamburger; Bacon Double; Beef Fat Fries; Onion Rings; Chicken Strips; Monzo Salted Caramel Sundae; Aperol Spritz; Apple Hand Pie; and Vanilla Milkshake.

MONZO is located at 1401 Granville Street, Vancouver, B.C. off Pacific Street and directly below the Granville Street Bridge, and is open daily from 11 a.m. to midnight.
