We visited Wanderlust Creamery – a unique, artisanal ice cream purveyor in Los Angeles featuring inventive, globally inspired ice cream flavours.

Wanderlust Creamery offers a variety of flavors which are inspired by specific destinations. From popular tourist hot spots to hidden gems around the world, every scoop tells a story of a place and its unique culinary identity. Guests are invited to explore the world one scoop at a time.

Their ice creams are formulated with all natural dairy, balanced butterfat that finishes clean on the palate.

We went to their Atwater Village location in Los Angeles and tried the following:

Ube Malted Crunch
Inspired by an American Filipino upbringing. Made with malted milk; sweet purple yams; and crunchy malted milk pieces. This flavour starts with an old fashioned American malt flavor but ends with an ube taste.
Sakura Crunch
Inspired by Tokyo, Japan. Japanese cherry blossom-infused ice cream with pieces of housemade strawberry + Uji matcha “Kit Kats.”
Japanese Neapolitan
A trio of Japanese classic ice creams into one flavour: Matcha, Hojicha and Black Sesame.

The ice cream flavours I tried were creamy, smooth, not too sweet and tasted just as good as they sound. Their branding is on point and I like how they share the inspiration behind each flavour. I took me some time to choose the flavours because I was reading the interesting descriptions for each option.
I enjoyed my experience at Wanderlust Creamery and would recommend them.
