Celeb Chefs Series at Camp Aramoni 2023 (Tonica, IL)

Returning for its second season, the team behind Illinois’ premier boutique camping destination Camp Aramoni is thrilled to announce the 2023 celebrity chef line-up taking over the camp’s kitchen for this summer’s exclusive Chef Series.

Celebrity Chef Series Returns w/ Dominique Leach, Thai Dang & John Manion at Camp Aramoni

Each iteration includes a chef demonstration, meet-and-greet and multi-course meal showcasing each chef’s unique cooking styles with optional beverage pairings.

AND this year, they are opening it up to the public, so both campground guests and those who desire to be part of the culinary experience can gather at the site’s dining venue Bricks and Stones for a feast to remember.

  • July 8th — Dominique Leach of Lexington Betty Smokehouse: Kicking things off in July is Chef Dominique Leach, the acclaimed pitmaster behind Chicago’s Black and woman-owned BBQ spot, Lexington Betty Smokehouse who has appeared on The Food Network’s CHOPPED “Playing With Fire” season 2021, Food Network Canada’s FIRE MASTERS seasons 1&2 and was named Good Morning America’s “Best BBQ in Chicago”. Dominique is excited to bring her for fine dining background and love for soulful southern-inspired fare to Camp Aramoni for a meal that tastes as good as it will smell with barbecued and smoked delights aimed to please as the star.
  • August 10th — Thai Dang of HaiSous: Jean Banchet Award recipient and acclaimed Vietnamese Chef Thai Dang has a soft spot for being in nature and camping, so naturally he wanted to cook his signature cuisine that put HaiSous on the map to the grounds, showcasing flavors that you may have never had but will leave you wanting more. 
  • September 7th — John Manion of El Che: Closing out the season is the beloved returning “Master of Fire” Chef John Manion bringing his Argentine live-fire cooking from El Che Steakhouse & Bar back to camp for a meatlovers dream dinner. Think big cuts of beef and the eclectic flavors of South America fired to perfection. 

Tickets for this limited series are $75 per person, and beverages are available for purchase a la carte.

Only 40 seats are available per event. Free parking for those not staying on-site is available.
