Bar Lula

The East Village ode to Mexico City from neighborhood group Endless Hospitality (Goodnight Sonny, The Wayland) debuts its new Lula Mar menu this Cinco de Mayo.

Running through the Summer, the menu introduces a Mariscos section rooted in a raw bar of local oysters and clams dressed in housemade salsa, a rotating selection of aguachiles, ceviches, coctels and tostadas. Along with mariscos, there will be new micheladas for the warmer months – perfect for adding a dressed oyster to.

These new dishes will accompany long time Bar Lula favorites: Grilled Prawns, Grilled Octopus with Green Mole, Mushroom Masa Crepe, Hominy Risotto and Croquettes. New Spring cocktails include the Oaxacan Side (mezcal, cucumber, thai basil syrup, lemon, pink peppercorn) and the Jamaica Sour (bourbon, hibiscus, strawberry, peychaud’s, egg white). These cocktails launch in addition following the venue’s recent introduction of their extensive Agave book featuring over 150 unique bottles.

The Lula Mar menu can be enjoyed at any Bar Lula seating, but will be best enjoyed at the restaurant’s new counter seating that will be introduced at their porch on the Saint Marks side of the corner restaurant.
