Hortus NYC
Michelin-recognized Hortus NYC has made celebrating mom easy—especially if she is a foodie—by crafting a special four-course Mother’s Day menu at the approachable price of $70 per person that will take guests on an eclectic culinary journey, seamlessly blending the flavors of China, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia with subtle European twists.
The prix fixe menu curated by Executive Chef Geo Park (formerly of Michelin-starred Jua) begins with Scallop & Caviar, served with makgeolli beurre blanc, white asparagus, and walnut.
There is also an option to add a wine pairing at an additional $40 per person. Hortus NYC will be serving their Mother’s Day menu on Saturday, May 13th and Sunday, May 14th for dinner. Guests can enjoy dinner in Hortus NYC’s second floor dining room, which provides beautiful views of the stained-glass windows of the historic Marble Collegiate Church across the street, or in the glass enclosed hidden garden, where one can enjoy the full effects of spring under the stars.

Conrad New York Midtown is hosting two events to celebrate all the special mothers in our lives.
Local New York City residents and guests will have the opportunity to “get zapped’” over the next few months and experience a jewelry pop-up experience with Love Weld taking place in the hotel’s lobby library. They will also have the opportunity to be 1 of 20 attendees to receive a 10 percent discount on an item on Sunday, May 14 from 10 AM – 2 PM.
Sip & Script Mother’s Day Themed Event: On May 7 from 1 – 2:30 p.m., we will be hosting a workshop at Dabble, where guests will learn an introduction to modern calligraphy with a pointed dip pen and ink, along with all the basics of calligraphy. Whether you’re a stationary nerd, DIY Bride-to-be or just a crafty individual this the ideal spot to learn all of the basics. Class includes 1.5 hours of instruction and demonstration, our beginner’s calligraphy kit (two nibs, black ink pot, 2 letter guides, tracing paper and straight pen holder), all materials to write plus all supplies to create your own lucky charm. Cost to participate in the class is $70 and tickets can be purchased online here. Guests can purchase food and beverages throughout the class.
