McArthurGlen Outlet Food Folk Eatery: Dirtbelly, Hula Poke, Chachi's

The Food Folk Eatery at McArthur Glen Outlet is finally open! This new food hall space features three concepts from Calgary-based 98 Food Co: Dirtbelly, Chachi’s and Hula Poke.

You can find seating inside Food Folk Eatery or outside as well as seating around the outlet.

DIRTBELLY for fresh salads

This is Dirtbelly’s first location in Vancouver. They are serving fresh salads, warm bowls, veg-centric greens and grains. Also on the menu are baked goods like energy balls, loaves and power cookies.

Salads are $13.50 while bowls are $13. Choice of proteins include Roast Chicken, Cajun Chicken, Ahi Tuna (Oceanwise), Veggie Pattie and Quinoa Scoop.

Dirtybelly’s salads are labelled as gluten, nut or dairy “friendly” but not “free.” All salads are prepared on site but cross-contamination can occur.

CHACHI’s for sandwiches

At Chachi’s you’ll find sandwiches, mac n’ cheese, pickles, housemade sauces, and more. The buns they use are from local bakeries. Sandwiches are around $9 – $13 per person.

HULA POKE for poke bowls

Hula Poke bowls are made with fresh, Oceanwise seafood. Bowls are around $10 – $14 per person. You pick a protein (ahi tuna, wild sockeye salmon, chicken, tofu or sweet potato); a base (coconut rice, traditional sushi rice, kelp noodle or kale); and pick your flavour.

I had the opportunity to try a variety of offerings:

Hula Poke: Yuzu bowl (yuzu, ginger sesame, avocado, cucumber, edamame, carrot, furikake, black sesame, crispy onion, kale), Yuzu drink, Cassave Chips

Chachi’s: Chili Chicken Sandwich, Truffle & Parm Mac ‘n Cheese, Orange Cream Drink, Jalapeno chips

Dirtybelly: Farmberry salad (spinach, romaine, carrot, cranberries, blueberries, almonds, pumpkin seeds, feta, raspberry poppyseed vinaigreet), energy balls, chocolate cake
