Johnny Rockets seeks public help to write thank you notes for healthcare heroes

Johnny Rockets Canada has launched Operation Rocket, an initiative to donate 200 fresh burgers, chips, and drinks daily for 28 straight days (April 13 – May 10) to the healthcare workers at Vancouver General Hospital. But there’s more to this than just food.

The restaurant – which is donating the staff, facilities, and the first 800 lunches, and supported by several generous sponsors, Lyra Growth Partners, Bluesky Properties, Manulife, Hager Design and others – is also hoping to collect notes of thanks and appreciation from the public to staple to the outside of each lunch bag.

Their Oak Street location is only 50 metres away from VGH which makes it one of the closest operating restaurants to the hospital so the brand is wanting to provide some great lunches as thanks for all their hard work and dedication to the community.

Johnny Rockets is aiming to collect a total of 5,600 notes — one to go along with each lunch bag which will include a freshly made Rocket Burger, bag of chips, and a drink. Anyone can drop off an unsealed note into the box outside of the Oak Street location (2538 Oak Street), or send it in digitally at www.johnnyrockets.ca/vgh.

I sent mine in digitally – see below!
