Fairmont Pride Culinary and Beverage Offerings

This year’s Vancouver Pride may look a little different, but the celebrations and colourful dining experiences don’t have to. From rainbow-clad ice cream sandwiches to over-the-top Drag Brunch experiences, there are many delicious ways to celebrate with Fairmont while giving back.

To celebrate Pride in a true colourful fashion, Notch8 at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver has created a special Shortbread Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich, perfect for those Instagram-worthy moments.

At Fairmont Pacific Rim, Pride will be front and centre on the new Fairmont Pacific Rim Patio Popup with Oakridge.

Serving up a special themed cocktail, the Strawberry Youth, this gin-based strawberry rhubarb-infused bubble creation is a delicious and refreshing way to toast to Vancouver Pride.

In addition, local craft brewery, Strathcona Beer Company , will be collaborating with Fairmont Pacific Rim to offer popular beers like the Love BuzzBeautiful, and Big Sexy Funk. These specialty craft beers are wrapped in striking and vibrant packaging, making a perfect match for Pride celebrations.

Fairmont Vancouver Airport’s Globe@YVR Afternoon Tea offering will receive a rainbow glow-up for this year’s Pride weekend.

Diners can sashay their way to Fairmont Vancouver Airport and celebrate Pride with a colourful and indulgent assortment of delicacies and desserts.

Set against the backdrop of the North Shore mountains and YVR’s active runways, guests will tuck into fresh scones, classic tea sandwiches and an every-colour assortment of sweet treats.

Priced at $69.00 CAD per person ($35.00 CAD for children) and available July 30 through August 1, tea-goers will enjoy an extensive selection of Lot 35 loose leaf teas and hand-crafted tea-themed cocktails – including the Hibiscus Mule ($14.00 CAD) – will also be available.

During Pride Weekend, $1.00 CAD from every Hibiscus Mule cocktail sold will be donated to the Vancouver Pride Society.

This event is family-friendly and Fairmont Vancouver Airport’s Junior Afternoon Tea for kids will also be offered in rainbow hues.

Throughout the month of August, Globe@YVR will be featuring the Rainbow Burrata Salad ($19.00 CAD), with fresh burrata, heirloom tomatoes, pistachios, bee pollen, balsamic pearls, castelvetrano olives, basil oil and a peach vinaigrette.

This rainbow-inspired dish will be honouring Pride for the month of August, and for every Rainbow Burrata Salad sold, $1.00 CAD will be donated to the Vancouver Pride Society.

What would Vancouver Pride be without an over-the-top Pride Drag Brunch?

To help Pride-goers bounce back after an eventful weekend, ARC Restaurant at Fairmont Waterfront will host a Pride Recovery Brunch on Monday, August 2.

Presented by Kendall Gender, Fairmont Hotels’ 2021 Pride Ambassador, this Pride Recovery Brunch will be a fun take on ARC Restaurant’s bottomless brunch, with live performances by Kendall Gender, Carlotta Gurl and Jaylene Tyme.

Priced at $59.00 CAD per person, with $5.00 CAD of every brunch sold being donated to the Vancouver Pride Society, this official Vancouver Pride event is available for reservations between 9:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. with live Drag Performances at 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

Reservations are recommended as this brunch is expected to sell out.
