Thanksgiving options in New Westminster this year includes contemporary Mexican restaurant El Santo who is offering Thanksgiving feasts on October 11 that include all the fixings.
This year, they have dine-in (individually plated, $26 – $28) or take-out (larger meal kit serving 4 people, $150) options.
There’s something for everyone satisfying meat lovers and vegetarians. The meat option features an achiote rubbed turkey galantine, Amaranthus’ fried Brussels Sprouts with gremolata and pumpkin seed hummus, coffee roasted beets with pickled beet stem, and crispy potato pave.
For those going meat-free this Thanksgiving, there is a vegetarian version which features a caramelized sunchoke terrine.
Dessert is a Mexican favourite: golden churros paired with a decadent dulce de leche.
A take-home version (which includes a mushroom risotto) serving 4 people is also available.
You can also upgrade your feast by adding the el Santo Tequila Kit. The kit includes your choice of tequila, el Santo margarita mix, a bottle of Cointreau, a cocktail shaker, and house made garnishes.
Choose between the Cazadores Tequila Blanco or the Sombra Mezcal Artesanal priced at $100 and $130 respectively.
I previewed and enjoyed the Amaranthus-inspired vegetarian Thanksgiving plated meal which was flavourful and unique.
