What I Ordered from Kirin Fine Foods

The food comes pre-cooked and hot so you might want to reheat if you like but they are pretty much ready to eat.

Set Menu H – Eggplant & Minced Pork in Hot Sauce with Rice 魚香茄子配白飯 ($12)

A savoury and spicy Chinese eggplant stirfry with pork that goes well with rice.

Egg Yolk in Squid Ink Dough Bun 黑金流沙包 ($7.50)

A fluffy bun with a tasty egg yolk filling. Beautiful gold painted exterior.

To best achieve a lava egg yolk, microwave the bun beforehand.

Prawn Dumpling 水晶鮮蝦餃 ($7)

Thin, translucent dumpling wrap with a bouncy, shrimp filling.

Scallop & Prawn in Squid Ink Dough Dumpling 黑金鮮蝦帶子餃 ($7.75)

Beautiful, gold painted squid ink dumpling wrap. The wrap was thicker than the shrimp dumpling. Tasty scallop and prawn filling.

BBQ Pork Bun 蠔皇叉燒包 ($6.75)

Very soft steamed buns with sweet, savory and saucy pork filling.

Assorted Mushroom Bun 野菌冬菇包 ($7.50)

Very soft steamed buns with savory, assorted mushroom filling.

Thousand Tier Cake 鳳凰千層糕 ($7.50)

A delicious steamed, sweet and savoury cake with alternating layers of salted egg yolk and cake layers.

Everything tasted good as per Kirin-style and the food held up well as takeout. My favourite was the Squid Ink Dough Bun with gooey egg yolk.

Because of the 50% off Uber Eats promotion, my order came out to $41.20. The subtotal was $56.50, service fee $5.65, tax $3.31, delivery fee $3.99. Discount was $28.25.
