Starbucks Nitro Cold Brew Now in Vancouver

Now there’s another good reason to visit Starbucks.  Today, Starbucks Canada launched Nitro Cold Brew in six Vancouver locations.  Starbucks Nitro Cold Brew is their newest take on the signature Cold Brew, infused with nitrogen for a smooth, creamy texture.  Nitro Cold Brew is deliciously cold right out of the tap so it is served without ice and as with Cold Brew, it’s served unsweetened to highlight the flavour the cold brewing process brings out in the coffee.

Nitro Cold Brew will now be available at the following six Vancouver locations: English Bay (at Denman and Davie Street), 600 Dunsmuir (at Dunsmuir and Seymour Street), on the corner of Robson and Thurlow Street, 2906 Hebb Avenue (at Renfrew and Hebb Ave), 2193 W 41st (at West Boulevard and W 41st Avenue) and 930 Burrard (next to the theatre on Burrard and Smithe Street)

In recent times, the coffee industry has seen a shift in consumers preference towards cold versions of premium handcrafted espresso.  In fact, iced beverage sales saw approximately 30 per cent growth over the past two years and represents one of the fastest growing areas of the business.  Approximately one in two beverages sold out of home in Canada are cold and Starbucks expects to more than double the size of its cold beverage business in Canada within five years.

Today, I attended a tasting of the Nitro Cold Brew at the Renfrew Starbucks location and it was delicious!  Really smooth and easy to drink.  Check out my recap video below:

A creamy texture for only 5 calories and 0 grams of sugar? It would be rad to do a science video explaining this heh
