Oatbox: Tasty, Healthy Breakfast Cereals

Disclaimer: I was provided an Oatbox for the purposes of this review.

As we all know, breakfast is the most important meal of the day.  With our busy schedules, however, it can be difficult to have a healthy, delicious and hassle-free breakfast in the morning.  This is where Oatbox comes in with their monthly subscription service that delivers nutritious and tasty cereals right to your door.

About Oatbox

Oatbox is a Canadian company founded in Montreal in November 2014 that offers subscribers two different cereal mixes every month, delivered right to their door.  Their chefs carefully prepare these mixes, which only contain natural and simple ingredients.  We’re talking whole cereals to puffed quinoa to fruits and nuts.  Sounds totally delicious, right?

Buy one, give one

As strong advocates of a healthy diet, Oatbox partnered with the Breakfast Club of Canada to help children have access to a nutritious morning meal.  A monthly Oatbox subscription is $20 and for every time Oatbox shipped, a child will benefit from a complete breakfast at school.  Being a mom myself, I find this to be an terrific cause.

What’s in the Oatbox?

In each box, there are two full-size bags of different mixes of about eight portions each.  You’ll be surprised each month because the mixes are changed.  In your first order, you also get a free glass jar which is helpful when eating on the go.

I tried their October box which had two mixes and I found both to be simple, healthy, wholesome, feel-good and most importantly *delicious*.  The first mix I tried was the hazelnuts and cranberry praline granola.  I added the granola to yogurt with a few slices of banana.  My husband and son both loved the crunchy texture and natural taste of the granola!

The second mix was the Ontario peach, cinnamons, and macademia nuts.  I loved it with yogurt and I even added some blueberries.

Overall Impression of Oatbox

I would recommend trying out Oatbox because their granola is simple, natural, and delicious.  Breakfast made easier is a plus in my books!  I think it is also a worthy option as a gift especially since it comes in a nice box; you won’t need to worry about gift-wrapping it.
