Starting next month, Noodlebox will be adding a few new and exciting items to their everyday menu. Available at all Noodlebox locations, these new dishes will be in line with their existing menu of Southeast Asian inspired food with bold flavours. Customers can appreciate that their dishes are made from fresh ingredients like non-GMO vegetables and are sourced locally wherever possible. Noodlebox is also committed to farm-to-plate practices and they support sustainable and ethical producers. Yesterday, I attended a media preview of the new additions to the menu as well some favorites.

*New* Noodlebox Menu Items
First up are the Crispy Thai Chicken Wings. These golden, crispy wings are a mouthful of flavour explosion with Noodlebox’s famous sweet, sour and salty Thai sauce. Worthy of noting is that Noodlebox’s special sauces are housemade with no added MSG. These wings are worth getting your hands messy for.
One of their new, creative fusion dishes is the Bombay Mac & Cheese Box which is available with pulled pork or vegetarian. It’s a delicious, meld of cheesy coconut vindaloo sauce, simmered with macaroni, fried paneer, spinach, fresh tomatoes, onions garlic.
Also coming soon is the Crispy Shanghai Chicken Box which features fried chicken bites in a sweet chilli glaze and wok fried with sesame oil, peppers, ginger, cashews, carrot, and Asian slaw. Served with jasmine rice and topped with sesame seeds. This dish was quite the flavour overload of sweet and spicy!
Popular Noodlebox Menu Items
Aside from tasting the upcoming new dishes, I also tried a few of their popular items. As it was my first visit to Noodlebox, this gave me the chance to see what I have been missing! The Spicy Peanut Noodle Box was really up my alley in terms of taste as I love Thai-inspired flavours. This dish features an Indonesian peanut sauce with coconut milk, simmered with ribbon noodles, Asian greens, sprouts, peppers, and cilantro. And those roasted peanuts on top were so good.
The Cambodian Jungle Curry Box was also a hit with me personally. I enjoyed the rich flavours of the yellow curry and coconut broth, simmered with rice noodles, Asian greens, sprouts, onions, peppers, & cilantro. One my favorite parts is that it is topped with mango. Did I mention that I’m a mango lover?
Overall Impression
Look out for Noodlebox’s new menu items in June. Until then, the dishes I tried at Noodlebox were impressive and I’ll be making my visit soon to one of their 4 locations in Vancouver. My top recommendations are the Bombay Mac & Cheese Box (new) and Spicy Peanut Noodle Box.
