Science of Cocktails Returns February 8, 2018
February 8 @ 8:00 pm - February 9 @ 12:00 am PST
One of the most highly anticipated food and drink events of the year returns February 8, 2018. The Science of Cocktails signature fundraiser will transform Science World at TELUS World of Science into Vancouver’s largest laboratory, where the city’s most talented bartenders and chefs will showcase the science behind preparing modern cocktails and cuisine. Ticket proceeds will support Science World’s Class Field Trips for underserved schools in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.
Each ticket includes complimentary cocktails from 25+ bar stations run by award-winning bartenders, paired with 12 food stations featuring molecular gastronomy from local talent. Attendees will also enjoy a variety of special cocktail science activities, hands-on science demonstrations and classic Science World fun.
Class Field Trips
By supporting Science of Cocktails, you will help to send thousands of kids from underserved schools on a field trip to TELUS World of Science. An average class bursary to send two classes of 24 students to Science World at TELUS World of Science costs approximately $868. This cost includes bus transportation to/from their school, admission, and a take-home activity. With the help of the funds raised by Science of Cocktails, over 8,000 students from underserved schools will visit Science World on a class field trip this school year. In 2018/2019, they hope to surpass that number, and you can help by attending the Science of Cocktails fundraising event on February 8, 2018.
